Help Spread Food and Joy!

This November, the Marcella Foundation is running it’s first annual Holiday Food Drive! Through our FeedTahoe program, we are rescuing extra food leading up to the holiday season to make sure our community is well fed. Join us by donating, volunteering, or supporting local food pantries that distribute food in South Lake Tahoe.

The drive will run from November 1st - November 30th 2025.

How it works:

1. Fill out the form to be a food donor

2. Receive your food drive collection kit

3. Schedule a food pick up

 FAQs:

  • The food drive will run from November 1st - November 30th, 2025 in South Lake Tahoe.

    1. Are you a restaurant or grocery store that has uneaten, unsold food to donate? We’ll take it! Are you an individual looking to give non-perishable food? Drop it off at a collection site and we will distribute it!

    2. We will provide you collection containers for non-perishables, trays for prepared food, labels, signage, flyers, and anything else you need! This will be delivered ASAP after you sign up.

    3. You can text our dispatch line (530-539-1719) and let us know when to pick up. Then, a FeedTahoe volunteer will come get the food and bring it to one of our nonprofit food partners. From there, they distribute it to community members in need.

    4. Your food donations will go directly to families, students, veterans, seniors, and other community members who need it most. In South Lake Tahoe 19% of our community experiences food insecurity, so by donating you are actively fixing that. This food will make their holiday season so much brighter.
